Our members offer you a warm welcome to Winteringham Camera Club and we hope you enjoy browsing our web site.
We are now in our 13th year and still going strong. With a steady membership of around twenty plus members, and a full and varied diary of speakers and themes for 2019-20 all this goes to make our little village club a very successful group. We are always keen on new members joining us no matter whether you have a compact camera or something more advanced there is always help at hand to give you the opportunity to improve your photography.
Do come along one evening, if it’s only to see what we’re about. Each month refreshments are served. The meetings are held at the Village Hall on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm. Please come along and join us. For more information please contact:- Sandi Johnson 01724 734742
Monthly Report - January 2020
Happy New Year!
8 January was Members' Night, our annual golden opportunity to make our own photographic displays, limited to five minutes.
Alice Nunn delighted us with the Amazon rain forest when she visited the Andes and Ecuador.
Adrian White had two pieces to show. The first was Greece - its ruins and wildlife, and later, birds in song: Adrian's own photographs of birds, with their songs superimposed.
Rachel Holmes entitled her presentation Random 2019, showing images of places visited and interesting things.
As we had no judge for the photo slot this month, members voted for their favourite photograph representing Looking Up. Here are the winners:
First Space Needle, Seattle Alan Kitchen
Second Geese Overhead Mo Ille
Third Ribbed Ceiling Malcolm Blackburn
Highly Commended Reach for the Sky Sandi Johnson
We will be hosting a return Inter-Club Photographic Competition with Thorne Camera Club on 12 February. Kay Ashberry has kindly agreed to be judge for the occasion.
